The credits you pay for stay in your account indefinitely. If you buy a $50 pack today and only use it next year, those ten credits are still there.
Bonus credits last 24 months
The bonus credits granted on the $250 and $500 packs expire 24 months from the date of purchase. Bonus credits are always spent first, so your paid balance stays intact as long as possible.

One credit equals $5. Reports cost 10 credits for the first report on a new case, 8 credits for the second, and 6 credits for the third and beyond — so a single new case costs 10 credits, two reports on the same case cost 18, and three cost 24. This per-case stacking discount recognizes that a follow-up opinion, addendum, or cross-exam prep round on the same case should not pay full freight.
Paid credits never expire. Bonus credits (included on the $250 and $500 packs as a volume discount) expire 24 months from the date of purchase. Bonus credits are always spent first, so your paid balance stays intact as long as possible.
The $50 pack is open to everyone. The $250 and $500 bonus packs are reserved for active subscribers — they're designed as overflow capacity for months when you run more reports than your plan covers, not a substitute for subscribing. If you're not subscribed, you'll see only the $50 pack at checkout.
Yes. Hybrid mode is the default for new accounts. Subscribers draw from their monthly quota first, then from credit packs when the quota is exhausted. You can buy credit packs at any time from your billing page to top up.
Yes. Unused credit packs are fully refundable within 30 days of purchase, consistent with our 30-day money-back guarantee. Partially-used packs are refunded pro-rata for the unused balance. Contact support to initiate a refund.
Yes. Credit-pack purchases use exactly the same encrypted, BAA-covered infrastructure as our subscription product. PHI is encrypted at the application layer before storage, all access is audit logged, and a Business Associate Agreement is required before any PHI is processed — identical security to the subscription tiers.
